The Renewable Energy Plan drawn up by the Spanish Government aims to install a solar photovoltaic power of 400 Mwp and 4.900.000 m2 of thermal collectors by 2010.
In order to encourage the fulfilment of the fixed aims, the Royal Decree 436 of 2004 guarantees an economic incentive consisting of 575% of the Medium Rate of Reference per kWh produced for 25 years. In addition, Large Electrical Companies are forced by law to buy 100% of the generated energy

With its headquarters located in Madrid, and its first branch in the South East of Spain (Area of Levante), SONNEGEX is immersed in an ambitious strategic plan of expansion. By 2010 it is expected to be present in all the southern part of Spain, with local offices established in the most important cities of the area.
Human factor is the engine driving SONNEGEX. Our staff is made of university graduates in continuous training, updating and specialising their knowledge in the areas and fields they work.
The Technical Management Department is in charge of managing, and technical control of the projects. It is formed by industrial engineers, with several master degrees, and on the other hand technical ones from different areas such as technical- electronic, mechanical, etc…
In the Legal and Management Department, people specialised in Economics and Law assist the technical division comprising as a whole, all the fields required to make an integrated management of the Solar Energy installations.
All these would not exist without our technical personnel; qualified and motivated people who turn it into a reality.
Thus, SONNEGEX moves on remaining loyal to its aspiration for excellence, guaranteeing the client the fulfilment of each and every of our commitments meeting all the quality requirements.
Among the projects carried out and those currently underway, SONNEGEX includes photovoltaic systems with a MW peak power, which prove by far, both its technical and management abilities.
Always aiming at excellence and innovation, in SONNEGEX we put special attention to I+D+I Projects, standing out the two-axis tracking system SNG-HT11 designed for generator plants – grid connected photovoltaic. Within the field of thermal solar energy, several exclusive contracts have been signed with renowned property developers so that they could meet the directives of the Code of Edification on energy saving.
Together with these large photovoltaic power plants, other smaller systems have been installed in houses or industries for hot water supply or central heating.
Apart from conventional equipments, SONNEGEX goes a step further, developing exceptional devices which make use of solar energy in water treatments, data transmission and cleaning systems for industrial vehicles.
All the applications of Solar Energy are different from each other, and SONNEGEX is aware of it. Harnessing the Sun is much more than domestic hot water supply or electricity production to feed the grid. There is a wide range of possible situations where thermal or electrical energy is required but there is no access to them.
